Sing Me to Sleep
Introducing "Sing Me to Sleep". The first chapter is posted online at the author's website - www.angela-morrison.com - she has quite a dramatic and entertaining writing style. Angela got the idea for the book from her daughter's experiences when she sang and travelled with the Junior Amabile Singers. The character, Derek, is based on one our boy choir singers, a very special young man named Matt Quaife. In real life, these two young people were best friends; the "love story" part of the book is fictional and we won't give away any more! But be prepared for a few tears.
The Amabile Choirs will have advance copies before the bookstores in March 2010. The Amabile Young Men's Ensemble and Primus Amabile Men's Choir are singing in the trailer below, and the girl singing is from the AYS - they recorded it at Medway High School in London in January 2010 for this purpose. In addition to sales across North America, Penguin just sold the book into China - so hold on tight!
